2011-12 Earthtones' Friends

Collaborations with musicians, artists, churches, schools, community groups, and friends are vital elements of the Earthtones experience. We wouldn't exist (or wouldn't care to) without the support of our world community. Below are just some of the friends who have contributed to our success.

Drumheart women's drum group

Earthtones, has performed yearly with these rockin' musical comrades. We've collaborated on our yearly Magulilwa school fundraiser and have performed at each other's yearly concerts. We are in awe of their driving rhythms every time we work with them.

Rocky Mjos has faithfully, and skillfully accompanied Earthtones on guitar since our founding. He's endured our antics over the years with patience and a smile and always comes through with amazing music that gets to the essense of the songs.

Manage.net, a Twin Cities-based provider of technology consulting, system integration, and managed internet services has generously donated website hosting.

Pilgrim Lutheran Church, St. Paul MN, has donated practice space to Earthtones since our inception and hosts several Earthtones performances at services yearly. The church has a long tradition of supporting fine local music including their Celtic (featuring our director) and Nordic services.

Magulilwa Area Secondary School is a community-based school in Magulilwa, Tanzania which fosters lifelong skills, challenging students to learn, to explore, and to grow as responsible community members. Earthtones has perfomed at several fundraising events for the school and has shared in the delight of helping to build stronger children, families, and communities through education.

St. Paul Partners assists and enables the Tanzanian people to obtain universal access to safe water, community by community. They aim to improve the life prospects of all people of Tanzania by providing safe water and health education in partnership with local communities. Earthtones will be performing to raise funds for St. Paul Partner's Itungi water develomment project on December 9, 2011.
